Current Opening:
Part-Time Retail Sales

We are looking for a staff member to provide excellent customer service as their primary role. Additional support required by applicants includes store opening and closing responsibilities, merchandising, general storefront operations, and basic management skills during store hours.

Summary:

Must have previous retail supervisory experience. Experience with activities including fishing, camping, shooting supplies, and hunting apparel is preferred. Our retail location is a licensed distributor for the Boy Scouts of America as well as a licensed agent for hunting and fishing licenses in Ohio. We are looking for like-minded candidates who have the desire and ability to inspire customers to spend time in the outdoors while providing excellent customer service.

Job type:

Part-Time (Afternoon) / Retired (Preferred)

Hours Requirement: 15-20 (more or less) hours per week including some weekend hours.

Job Description:

• Welcome and greet customers as they enter our store.
• Offer help and provide direct assistance to customers by answering customer's questions regarding product(s).
• Identify and evaluate customers’ needs.
• Make product recommendations based on analysis of customer’s needs.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work and retail space.
• Provide a helpful and fun environment for customers to shop.
• Willingness to perform additional duties as required.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Ability to clearly communicate with others.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Provide direct support in the daily operations of the retail store.
• Computer literate; familiar with using POS systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including evenings and weekend shifts.
• Must be able to legally own and possess firearms under Federal and State Law.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition, as well as knowledge of safe handling of firearms
• Reliable transportation
• Maintain the integrity of the sales area with inventory and presentation, store signage, and housekeeping standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods as required.
• Housekeeping duties include but are not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors, washing windows, disposing of trash, and the upkeep of the overall look of the retail area.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
