MEETING TOPIC: Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative

Speaker: Stefanie Robinson – Hope Recovery Community

Learn how to create a workplace culture that supports employees affected by addiction and mental health challenges. Hope Recovery Community’s Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative offers free consultation, training, and resources to help businesses promote health, well-being, and recovery.

Participants will gain practical tools to:

• Build a recovery-supportive workplace culture
• Understand addiction and recovery
• Reduce stigma through language and awareness
• Connect employees to local resources
• Strengthen employee wellness and retention

Speaker Bio:

Stefanie Robinson is the Founding Executive Director of Hope Recovery Community in Medina, Ohio, where she leads with passion and purpose to support individuals and families impacted by substance use disorders. With over 16 years in personal recovery and more than a decade of peer support leadership, Stefanie has become a trusted voice in the field—serving on the OneOhio Foundation, Ohio Citizen Advocates for Addiction Recovery (OCAAR), and the National Peer Recovery Alliance (NPRA).

Recognized nationally as a subject matter expert in recovery-oriented systems of care, non-stigmatizing language, and peer-led services, Stefanie continues to advocate for policies and practices that center lived experience and foster long-term healing.

Her dedication has earned widespread recognition, including the Cleveland Clinic Medina County Community Service Award (2017), the Medina County ADAMH Board Recovery Advocate of the Year (2018), OhioGuidestone Regional MVP (2019), and OneStep Peer Supporter of the Year (2019). In 2020, she received the State of Ohio Champion of Recovery Cares Award, and in 2024, she was honored with the prestigious Athena Leadership Award for her outstanding contributions to her community.

Stefanie is married with two children and two dogs. She finds joy in time spent with family, friends, and the vibrant recovery community she helps to lead.
